About

Alexis Fraudita is a Research Fellow at the Industrial Robotics Facility of the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, where he contributes to the EU-funded RENEE project. His research focuses on the development of autonomous mobile manipulation systems for industrial environments, combining robotic software, simulation, perception, and planning. He is particularly interested in designing and validating autonomous capabilities in simulation and transferring them to real robotic platforms.

He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidad Central de Venezuela, where his thesis focused on developing a simulated environment for training reinforcement learning agents to control a robotic manipulator. Before joining robotics research, he gained experience in teaching embedded systems and digital electronics and worked as a Software Engineer developing web applications and software development tools.
